Long ago, in the heart of the Dark Ages, a select group of individuals were entrusted with super human abilities. Some used these powers for good, others for evil. And so a great battle raged. Years passed, both side ensnared in a bloody stalemate. One day a powerful wizard, stripped warring people of their abilities. He bound each ability an ordinary looking stone and cast them to every corner of the globe. For hundreds of years the abilities lay dormant, frozen within their stony prisons and forgotten by the world.

Passed down generation to generation, many of the stones were found, but only labeled as relics of old civilizations. The recovered stones were brought to Patriot City's central museum.

As the clock struck midnight one lucid summer night, the ancient wizard's spell was finally broken and the stones sprang to life. Each stone exercising a will of it's own found its way into the hands of a worthy descendant of it's former master.

A few years have passed since then. Patriot City now plays host to a great alliance of heroes and a wicked alliance of villains. Whose side will you choose? The Alliance Of Heroes or The Alliance Of Villains?
